Use The Windows Key For Start Menu On Ubuntu

When you Press Windows Key in Ubuntu Linux nothing happens. Whereas, in Windows operating system when you hit windows key start menu pops up.Now lets see how to make applications menu inUbuntu to pop up when you hit windows key.Assigning shortcut keys in Ubuntu is very simple.Ok, lets now see how to do it,

• Go to the System –> Preferences –> Keyboard Shortcuts menu
• Now scroll down to “Show the panel menu” item.
• Click in the Shortcut column, and when it changes to New accelerator
• Hit the Windows Key + Another button.
• Then click on close button. That’s it 

Note:

I use Window Key + D button to launch Applications menu.
