FacebookSome time the due to large data we cannot store much data on our hard disk. To solve this problem either we can install a new hard disk with higher capacity or install another new hard disk. In this article I can tell you the easy method to increase the storage capacity for any hard disk in Microsoft Windows XP.
1. Click on Start
2. Open My Computer
3. You will see hard drive(s) installed on your system.
4. Right click on the hard drive that you want to increase the storage capacity.
5. Check Compress drive to save disk space the following shows that picture.
6. Press Apply
7. Press Ok to exit.
System will takes few minutes to compress all the data on hard disk. All the data. The color of folders and data files will be changed to blue of all the compressed data files.
